Few people ever give the same description of Leleyla twice.She changes her appearances like one changes outfits from a closet, utilizing her mastery of glamours and illusionary magic to fit the needs of what she is doing. She claims to be a Dunesfolk lalafell woman, but those who have entertained with her also claim she has been a Hyur, an Elezen, an Au Ra, and even other races at times.Her most frequent guise is that of a long-haired lalafell with bright red hair, carefully styled into elaborate braids and curls. She is always adorned with a variety of jewelry, particularly a large crystal earring that she wears upon her left ear almost always.It would seem that the woman tends to adapt her personality to fit the moment. At times she is commanding and authoritative, a matronly presence in her brothel. At other times, she is soft-spoken and shyly demure, feeding into the fantasies of those who share her company.It is clear she is an enigma of sorts, with no one truly knowing her genuine appearance. Such is the mystique of the Lady of Mirrors.

She treats her courtesans well, treating them as partners rather than servants, and in turn they tell her all of the gossip they pry from loose lips in the throes of passion.She is a master navigator of Ul'dah's political landscape, and few are those who have not at least heard of Leleyla's den of pleasures. It is rumored that even the Sultana has come to her on occasion to gain a grasp on the current climate of the city, but Leleyla always refutes these rumors as an exaggeration. Whatever the case may be, Leleyla is widely known for her ability to garner information while keeping secrets to those who treat her establishment well.
As a skilled enchantress and master of illusions and glamours, Leleyla is a formidable woman in her own right. Rarely without options, she can handle herself in the rare chance she ends up in a combat situation, though she prefers to avoid confrontation whenever possible. With an array of resources and a loyalty to those who earn her trust, she is a great friend to have, and an even worse enemy to antagonize.

As the proprietress of the Velvet Reflection brothel on Pearl Lane, Leleyla can frequently be found there handling her business and otherwise ensuring the continued prosperity of her workers. Though she rarely serves as a courtesan herself these days, she's been known to make an exception for those very much in her favor.

Leleyla is nearly always affected by some manner of powerful glamour upon her person. She is clearly a master of glamour magic, and those well versed in such things might find interest in either learning from her or passively studying her illusions.

Leleyla has been known to frequent the Mysterium, home of the Legatum Mysteria. This free company specializes in safeguarding the secrets of Eorzea... and beyond, and it is likely she provides them with leads on this matter. I'm open to roleplaying with just about everyone - Veteran or novice RPer alike. I adore walkups and will do my best to reply. Feel free to whisper me if I don't reply, I may have missed your message in the chat scroll.I only have three real notes about my roleplay:Firstly - I am open to just about any sort of collaboration or introduction, including mature and dark themes... but please clear anything dramatic with me beforehand so I can prepare and make sure the idea is a good fit for both of us!Second - Please respect the IC/OOC boundaries. While I am open to the idea of character romance (and it is my favorite trope!), it is important to distinguish between IC and OOC. I am happily married IRL, and trying to push anything that happens between Leleyla and your character into an IRL context is the swiftest way to ensure I never want to roleplay with you again. I am also aware that romance with lalafells can be a tough point for many people. I am willing to adjust my roleplay to the comfort level of those I am roleplaying with, including simply 'fading to black' in certain scenes if desired.Third - I generally try to stay lore compliant in a public setting to avoid breaking anybody's immersion. FFXIV has a very rich lore, but I am also a firm believer in the 'rule of cool'. The Legatum Mysteria typically has plots that touch on some of the vaguer bits of lore and interprets them. I am happy to adjust my roleplay to accommodate whatever level you are comfortable with.
